Welcome from OSAKA Local Host
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Welcome to Osaka! As a local host of 2023, I warmly welcome you to the 7th Annual Conference on Engineering and Information Technology (the 2023 ACEAIT) on July 12-14 in Osaka, Japan.
Osaka is the second largest city in Japan with a population of over eight million. It has the manufacturing industry with the power to create global innovation with the use of innovative technologies. In 2025, an international exposition (EXPO 2025) will be held in Osaka and Kansai regions. It aims to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to realize Japan’s national strategy society 5.0., and you may consider the 2023 ACEAIT a harbinger of the EXPO 2025, sharing the invaluable concept.
Osaka will welcome you with various summer events in the city’s rivers, temples, shrines, Osaka castle, and many more. Traditional performing arts have developed here, such as the Upper Rakugo (or sole-storyteller entertainment) and Manzai (or standup comedy), which were born and known as popular performing arts of Osaka and make the city a culture of “laughter.” You will find it fascinating with its liveliness, energy, and sustainability.
Osaka has prospered as a trading center since the 17th century, where rice and specialty products as well as various people gather. The Osaka community has been thriving with its agriculture and fisheries that support its unique food culture and is referred to as the “nation’s kitchen.” There is a saying that “Dress extravagantly in Kyoto and eat till you drop in Osaka.” While Kyotoites do not hesitate to spend an enormous amount of money on clothes, Osakans value food and eat to their hearts’ content.
Since Osaka has developed a variety of unique foods, I hope you will enjoy all the local delicacies here! Between the sessions and/or before and after the conference, why don’t you find time to explore some excitement and the culture of Osaka during your stay and discover a new image of the country?
I am especially delighted that ACEAIT 2023 will be held in person since COVID-19 made it difficult to meet face-to-face for the last few years. This conference will provide you with the opportunity to meet and interact with active researchers, friends, and colleagues as well as exhibitors and organizers. I hope you will gain new inspiration for your research and enhance your network through new encounters.
Please do not miss this wonderful opportunity from July 12 to 14, 2023, and make the most of this academic conference in this unique trading city of deep tradition, inspiration, and innovation. I look forward to seeing you at ACEAIT face-to-face in the energetic Osaka!
